Union Bank of India wants to concentrate and expand its base among SME customers. It has signed an MoU with IIM Ahmedabad to launch a research programme for six years. The Union Bank has given a fund of Rs 2 crore to research on operation, structure and role of financial institutes. It would also provide training and consulting.
