The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research has set up a first ever facility for small and medium sized pharmaceutical units at Mohali in Punjab to assist industry in formulations, drug method development and providing tra ining to manpower.
“The new SME Pharma centre is ready and it will be inaugurated by Chemicals and Fertilisers Minister Mr Ramvilas Paswan on February 23 here,” NIPER Director Mr P Rama Rao said here on Friday,6th February 2009.
The Department of Pharmaceuticals had conceived a project to establish a SME Pharma centre at NIPER at Mohali with an objective of providing trained manpower and technological support to SME sector which was critical for its growth.
“This centre will be beneficial for the SME sector engaged in pharma which can avail a host of facilities required for improving their business operations,” he informed. –
