Rwanda Criticizes Uganda For Failing To Organize Bilateral Meetings

Rwanda and Uganda are caught up in a major tussle as the latter refused to hold bilateral meetings to resolve issues pertaining to movement of goods and people across the border. Rwanda’s Paul Kagame revealed, “The meeting in Kigali went well and there was supposed to be a meeting after that in Kampala but it did not happen. I am not fully knowledgeable about why it did not happen.”

The constant change in dates was the main reason for tension between the two countries. The border has been closed since late February, and Rwanda stopped its citizens crossing into Uganda and restricted the entry of Ugandan goods.
