Egypt Signs Deal With ITFC For Commodities Imports

Egypt has signed a US$ 1.1bn deal with the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC) to finance petroleum products and other commodity imports in 2020. The funds are part of a US$3bn agreement between the country’s Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation and the ITFC, signed in January 2018. The local market access to petroleum products is one of the ministry’s top priorities.
